In the last several years WebRTC has been herald both as the telecommunications savior as well as its nightmare. Despite some challenges in implementation, Amazon, Facebook, and now finally Apple are all working to make their offerings WebRTC-friendly. It has even made its way into pop culture, as it may be what saves Pied Piper (of HBO’s "Silicon Valley" fame). Through all of this, WebRTC can present itself as a troubling for developers who struggle to maximize its value. They ask: it adds voice, data-channels, and video; so what?

In this session, Chad Hart, Head of Strategic Products at Voxbone, will leverage his experience to discuss the history of WebRTC and how the developer community can leverage it as the ultimate value-add.
